Our Vision

Our vision is that robust and reliable autonomous robot navigation will be a mainstream and widespread technology that enables more efficient transportation, exploration of dangerous environments and assists people in performing difficult tasks. We aim to push the limited operating window of current robot navigation to enable autonomy in less structured changing environments and in safety-critical interactions.

Perception-Action
Co-Design

Develop aerial robots that can autonomously navigate both indoors and outdoors, across multiple seasons, in varying wind conditions, and in environments with static and dynamic obstacles.

Safe and Efficient Learning-Based Control

Develop intelligent robot decision-making that efficiently uses machine learning and data to achieve high performance on complex tasks and environments while prioritizing safety.

Aerial Robotic Teams

Develop intelligent teams of aerial robots that can share information with applications to search-and-rescue.
